Entrance of Pinole Senior Center

Welcome to the Pinole Senior Center

The Pinole Senior Center provides social, educational, recreational, health, nutritional, and consumer services and activities to our more than 1000 yearly participants. The Center is a community focal point for West Contra Costa County area seniors, age 50 and over, and has established for itself an outstanding reputation as one of our County’s best Senior Centers. Under the guidance and leadership of our City Staff and the 11 member Board of Directors (elected by the membership), over 12 working committees provide the hands on assistance needed to support Center programs, activities and fundraising. The Center is unique in that it is truly governed by the seniors themselves who work hand in hand with the Center staff in the development, management and evaluation of Center programs and activities.

The Pinole Senior Center's programs are designed to appeal to a wide range of mature adults residing within the City of Pinole and surrounding communities. Recognizing that today's "retirees" span quite a significant age range, the Center offers a friendly, lively atmosphere where you can hang out with old friends, meet new people, pursue an avid hobby or interest or try a new one. Dedicated to the needs, interests and vitality of today's seniors, we are always striving to expand our social, recreational, physical, and nutritional programs and services.

To assist seniors in keeping healthy we offer aerobics: weight training, Tai Chi, Zumba, and walking groups. For those of you who prefer alternative ways to keep in shape, we offer a variety of dance classes - ballroom or country western line dancing. If you need a break from all that exercise we have bridge, pinochle, and pool/billiards. We also offer a number of classes such as arts and crafts, guitar and woodcarving. If you're hungry, our Center offers delicious and freshly prepared meals! We hope you'll stop in and check us out for yourself – we think you'll be very glad you did. If you have any questions or require additional information, call (510) 724-9800.
