LEADERS IN TRAINING (L.I.T.)
The LIT Program is for teens entering 10th through 12 grades and is a 10 week program during Summer camp. Hours vary within the following parameters of Monday through Friday, 7 am -6 pm. The LIT Program is based out of the Pinole Youth Center and is fully funded by participant service fees.
The LIT Program activities are primarily focused on developing skills of teamwork, managing small and large groups of youth, developing and implementing activities, and learning entry level job skills of a Recreation Leader.
Application will be accepted for the LIT beginning April 15th.
Steps to becoming an LIT:
1. Fill out
LIT application.
2. Submit application to

3. If you are invited for an interview after submitting your application, attend the interview and attend all the required trainings.
4. Once you are accepted into the LIT Program, submit all necessary documents (schedule of availability, copy of High School id, copy of immunization records, copy of birth certificate) within 1 week of being accepted into the program.
5. Attend the mandatory training and complete all requirements -info is listed on the application
7. Complete all the required # hours to receive your LIT certificate at the end of the program.
