Community Alerts (Community Warning System)
The Community Warning System (CWS) is managed through the Contra Costa Office of Emergency Services and can alert residents and businesses within Contra Costa County that are impacted by, or are in danger of being impacted by an emergency.
The CWS message will include basic information about the incident and what specific protective actions (shelter in place, lock down, evacuate, avoid the area, etc.) are necessary to protect life and health.

PG&E Community Wildfire Safety Program
California faces a continued and growing threat of extreme weather and wildfires. As an additional precautionary measure following the 2017 and 2018 wildfires, PG&E has enhanced and expanded their Community Wildfire Safety Program with the goal of further reducing wildfire risks, and keeping their customers and the communities they serve safe.

Pinole READY
PINOLE READY is a collaborative emergency management program that encompasses the City of Pinole services and the community. Its purpose is the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all aspects of emergencies. PINOLE READY is a never-ending cycle covering preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation of emergencies.
Disaster Preparedness
Disasters can occur at anytime and history reveals we are not immune in Pinole. Earthquakes, floods, landslides, and gas line ruptures are just a few disasters that have hit our area. While mitigation or the prevention of emergencies is vital, we need everyone to be prepared so that we as a community can effectively respond and then recover from an emergency.
