City of Pinole Police, Fire, and Public Works services are aware of, and have made preparations for, a potentially significant weather event this weekend. Pinole may experience localized power outages and/or street flooding, especially in the lower-lying areas surrounding Pinole Creek on the north end of Tennent Avenue near the water treatment plant.

At this time, the need for local evacuation is not anticipated, however, City staff will be monitoring the situation throughout the weekend and update citizens should the situation change. In the unlikely event that standing water is encountered inside a residence, promptly vacate the building, and call 9-1-1.

Public Works has made sand and sandbags available, for Pinole residents only, at the Plum Street parking lot near the Public Safety Building.

Residents may also wish to monitor the situation via the Contra Costa County Community Warning System at https://cwsalerts.com/
