The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is a federally funded program which provide low-income seniors with check booklets that can be used to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs at select local farmer's markets in Contra Costa County including our very own Pinole Farmer's Market. All seniors 60 years of age or older who's annual income does not exceed more than 185% of poverty level are encouraged to apply.

The Pinole Senior Center will be a designated site that will distribute the SFMNP check booklets. Each participant will be given five (5) checks redeemable for $10 each. If you are interested in applying or have any questions please contact Kristina Santoyo, Recreation Coordinator, at [email protected] or call (510) 724-9802. The last day to register is September 30th, 2022.
