The City of Pinole is happy to announce the arrival of Jeremy Rogers as the new Community Services Director. The Community Services Director oversees the Community Services Department, which includes parks and recreation (Senior Center, Youth Center, Tiny Tots, Swim Center, and all other recreation related programs), Pinole Community Television (PCTV), community health, and County library and animal services. The Community Services Department is a new department formed from the City’s recent reorganization and includes many of the functions previously overseen by the City’s former Assistant City Manager, who retired in December 2021.

Jeremy is excited to serve the citizens and is looking forward to being a part of this community.

Rogers comes to Pinole from the City of Visalia where he was the Community Services Director. Prior to that he was with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS, where he served as the Parks and Recreation Director.   Previously, Jeremy worked for Independence, MO and Wichita, KS.  He is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional and has a personal passion for parks and recreation.

Jeremy holds a Master’s of Education degree in Sports Administration from Wichita State University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Education/Health from Sterling College, where he played four years of baseball.

“I am very excited to be a part of a community that supports and values parks and other community programs,” said Rogers.

Jeremy is a die-hard Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City BBQ fan and is looking forward to sharing his smoked food with anyone that is willing to taste test.

The Community Services Department plays a very important role in our community, working closely with a wide variety of citizens and sports/recreation user groups in Pinole.   Pinole has long enjoyed a strong parks and recreation program, and the projects and programs within this department help make Pinole the vibrant and attractive community that it is.
