City of Pinole’s Youth Anti-Tobacco Program
Now Recruiting for Youth Ambassadors!
The City of Pinole will be piloting its Youth Anti-Tobacco Program This Fall! Cigarette and e-cigarette use (also known as vaping) among students has reached epidemic proportions. The City of Pinole wishes to take a proactive role in discouraging and eliminating the use of tobacco products by underage youth between the ages of 10-14.
We are looking for middle and high school students in Pinole who are interested in becoming a Youth Ambassador for our program!
This volunteer position will include a paid monthly stipend, where selected candidates will join a team of Youth Ambassadors serving as tobacco-free advocates on campus, complete anti-tobacco trainings, and participate in the development of the program for youth participants this Spring. In this program, Ambassadors will gain employable skills, make new friends, and add fun and creative ideas to make this program enjoyable for our Pinole middle schools! Pick up an application at your local Pinole school, the Pinole Library, or the City of Pinole Website.
